Action Refinement for Probabilistic Processes with True Concurrency Models

چکیده
In this paper, we develop techniques of action refinement for probabilistic processes within the context of a probabilistic process algebra. A semantic counterpart is carried out in a non-interleaving causality based setting, probabilistic bundle event structures. We show that our refinement notion has the following nice properties: the behaviour of the refined system can be inferred compositionally from the behaviour of the original system and from the behaviour of the systems substituted for actions; the probabilistic extensions of pomset trace equivalence and history preserving bisimulation equivalence are both congruences under the refinement; and with respect to a cpo-based denotational semantics the syntactic and semantic refinements coincide with each other up to the aforementioned equivalence relations when the internal actions are

True-concurrency probabilistic models: Branching cells and distributed probabilities for event structures
This paper is devoted to probabilistic models for concurrent systems under their true-concurrency semantics. Here we address probabilistic event structures. We consider a new class of event structures, called locally finite, that extend confusion-free event structure. In locally finite event structures, maximal configurations can be tiled with branching cells: branching cells are minimal and fi...

This paper is devoted to true-concurrency models for probabilistic systems. By this we mean probabilistic models in which Mazurkiewicz traces, not interleavings, are given a probability. Here we address probabilistic event structures. We consider a new class of event structures, called locally finite. Locally finite event structures exhibit “finite confusion”; in particular, under some mild con...

متن کاملTrue-concurrency Probabilistic Models: Markov Nets and a Law of Large Numbers Samy Abbes and Albert Benveniste
We introduce the model of Markov nets, a probabilistic extension of safe Petri nets under the true-concurrency semantics. This model builds upon our previous work on probabilistic event structures. We use the notion of branching cell for event structures and show that the latter provides the adequate notion of local state, for nets. We prove a Law of Large Numbers (LLN) for Markov nets—this con...

In this paper sets of labelled partial orders are employed as fundamental mathematical entities for modelling nondeterministic and concurrent processes thereby obtaining so-called noninterleaving semantics. Based on closures of sets of labelled partial orders, a simple recursive algebraic language with refinement is given denotational models fully abstract w.r.t. corresponding behaviourally mot...
